ZAG Engineering is an internationally active engineering firm based in Oeschgen, Aargau, Switzerland. It was founded in 1996 as a public limited company by its current managing director and owner, Walter Zumsteg. We are a small, dynamic, and highly qualified team that constantly strives to offer our clients the optimal solution and service through our innovations and expertise.

Company History
02. September 1996
Founding of the public limited company ZAG Engineering in the basement of a residential building "Auf der Schanz 31 in Kaiseraugst"
1998
With the company's growth came a crucial change: the headquarters were moved to Hauptstrasse 96 in Wittnau. This building, which not only provided living space but also laid the foundation for a new era, created three jobs.
Walter Zumsteg's success proved him right; the increasing demand for steam systems made it necessary to expand the team. Soon, the first employees joined the company. A milestone had been reached: a vision had become a thriving company with a strong foundation for the future.
2001
A bold and forward-thinking move: ZAG took over the Swiss distributorship of the then-unknown company "JUMAG Dampferzeuger". With expertise, dedication, and a keen sense for quality, ZAG brought the innovative steam generators to the Swiss market – laying the foundation for an impressive success story.
2010 - 2011
The company grew, and with it, the challenges. The existing premises could no longer accommodate the increasing space requirements; the company was bursting at the seams. It was time for the next big step.
In Oeschgen, an ideal plot of land was found that perfectly suited the company's needs. A modern new building with a spacious workshop, a roomy hall, and modern office space was constructed. A milestone in the company's history!
The move to Böllistrasse 18 in Oeschgen marked a new era: more space, more opportunities and an even better basis for further growth.
2012
3rd place in the Aargau Entrepreneur Award, in the category of smallest businesses
2021
ZAG Engineering takes over the representation of the renowned valve manufacturer TLV; a new success story begins. 25th anniversary of ZAG Engineering
2024
Walter Zumsteg is acquiring Innomontage AG, a company specializing in pipeline and plant construction as well as district heating. This will allow us to optimally leverage synergies and strengthens our position as a general contractor for end customers.
